Sew Quick-Sew Cute *Book Review*

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter...

In preparing for Easter this year, I was inspired by this book...

by
Fiona Goble

published by
Adams Media a division of F+W Media Inc.

The 'Skinny-ear Rabbit' on the front cover caught
my attention immediately!!  Such a cute stuffie
for my daughter's Easter Basket.

and browsing through the book I was amazed..

So many quick and cute ideas to create
for babies, teens, decor, and toys.

Each item starts with a large photo, clear description,
and a little cuckoo clock with amount of time
to make it!  Then a material list and numbered
written instructions and photos to walk
you through the making process.

I made those 'Skinny-ear Rabbits' and a sarong
for my daughter's basket this year!!
Some of the templates in the book are
full size, some need to be enlarged.  The
rabbits template need to be enlarged but
I really didn't want a large stuffie so
I made them using the size right out
of the book....I think they are adorable this size!!

And the sarong...yeah she had to keep the
bunny ears on!!

She loves wraps, and stuffies, and bags!!
So next on the list of things to make
from this book will be the 14 x 15" bag
from this book.

There is a nice variety of items to make from this book.
Fiona Goble has made gift giving a little simpler
with her book Sew Quick - Sew Cute
With 30 cute patterns to choose from, ranging from 1-12 hours,
and items for babies to adults to make for,
It might take you longer to decide which one
to make first than to actually make it!!

Until next time
Happy Spring....Happy Stitching

WIP's Wednessday

Happy April,   I've been keeping busy with.....

I actually finished these sweet little Garden Pin-Tuck Bloomers
a pattern by Amelie and Henri

Hand quilting this little throw in the evenings....

I'm behind on the Spring Stitching Club project,
hoping to catch up this weekend,
fingers crossed, eeek!

Will be turning this stack of fabric into...
a few spring 'frocks'
(more about that in a later post!!)

My stack of quilts yet to be quilted,
I'm thinking I may have to start
doing a little machine quilting
to get caught up!

A start on my gardening...re-growing this celery
from the cut-off end,
pretty cool, huh!!!

And another blue de-stash quilt coming along nicely,,,,
add that to the pile of quilts to be quilted.
I think this is the one I will try
machine quilting,
Love it when I make up my mind!!!

Hope you are getting some beautiful
Spring weather were  you are!!

Until next time,
Happy Hump Day Stitching
